AGO book WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals spot

AGO beat tomorrow 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Polish qualifier to secure their place at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals.

With VenatoreS disqualified following an alleged ban from one of their players, AGO and tomorrow faced off to determine the first Polish team to advance to the European & CIS Finals.

AGO, who had defeated SEAL in the previous stage of the qualifier, got off to a flying start on their map pick, Overpass, as they cruised to a 13-2 lead as Terrorists. Damian "⁠Furlan⁠" Kislowski and co. then hit match-point after winning the second pistol and an anti-eco, but it would take them five more rounds before they finally managed to close it out, 16-7.

tomorrow went into Mirage, the second map, a different side, picking up a 9-6 lead after dominating proceedings during the final stages of the half. After switching to the CT side, Kuba "⁠Markoś⁠" Markowski & co. kept a tight defence, dropping just two rounds before locking down the map.

AGO came out the brighter on Train, securing a 5-1 lead, but then tomorrow's offense came to life, with the half ending in a close 8-7 scoreline. But Furlan's men were far too hot to handle after the interval as they overcame the deficit and ran away with the lead to seal a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
