SK Gaming takes third in Dubai

SK Gaming secures third place at Global Challenge Dubai, as they defeated Vitriolic 2-0 in the third place decider match.

The third place was secured following the 2-0 score, where SK Gaming started out winning inferno with 16-10. Second map nuke was a lot closer, seeing SK Gaming starting with a strong CT performance, taking a 13-2 lead. Vitriolic came to pull off a strong CT side also, but with SK Gaming winning two key rounds, they all of a sudden had match point. The very last round ended up with a 1v1, going SK Gaming’s way, winning 16-14 and 2-0 overall.

SK Gaming hereby drop in on third place at Global Challenge Dubai, taking home $3.000. The Chengdu champions could not clinch yet another title since the trophy was brought home from Dubai, as their countrymen from fnatic put a stop to it.



The Grand Final at Global Challenge Dubai will be up next, featuring MYM and fnatic. It will be MYM’s first Grand Final, along with it being their first international event. For fnatic, it is yet another Grand Final and the team is hungry to win it, after seeing SK Gaming snatch it in front of them in Chengdu. The Grand Final at Global Challenge Dubai is scheduled to start at 17:30CET.
