HellRaisers crush EnVyUs; advance to semi

HellRaisers have defeated EnVyUs 2-0 (16-6 on Mirage, 16-2 on Train) to advance to the DreamHack Open Tours' playoffs.

The Group B decider of the day kicked off on HellRaisers' map pick, Mirage, with Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey securing the CT pistol for his team with a 1v2 post-plant clutch. After that, the French team remained in control, bringing the scoreline to a 5-1 advantage despite losing the first gun round.

HellRaisers then responded in style, winning six rounds without response to take the lead for the first time in the game. Envy got back on the board in the 13th round thanks to kioShiMa's Deagle double-kill followed by a 1v2 clutch, but that was the best they could get until the break.

In the second half, Kirill "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow's men kept their opponents at bay with a very tight defence, picking up seven rounds in a row to lock down the map, 16-6.

On Train, Envy' map pick, HellRaisers got off to a flying start as they cruised to a 5-0 lead on the CT-side, forcing Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer to call a tactical pause. The Frenchmen then looked set to win their first round, but HellRaisers impressively won a 3v4 post-plant.

The same happened in the eighth round as Envy had a one-man advantage in a 4v3 situation, but Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker denied them with a massive quad-kill. In the 13th round, kioShiMa clutched a 1v2 to help his team get their first round on the board, with the French side following that up with a second round.

Still, HellRaisers would not let go off the gas, and, after taking a 13-2 half-time lead, quickly wrapped things up by winning three straight rounds en-route to a 16-2 finish.
